Background: Earlier this year, the "American Hunters and Shooters Association" held a press conference, piggybacked on the NRA annual meetings in St. Louis. Since this organization bills itself as "an alternative to the NRA," Ginny Simone, reporter for NRA News, showed up at its press conference, hoping to report on it. As this video clip reveals, Simone was almost thrown out of the place bodily by ex-footballer Ray Schoenke, who is listed as president of the association.
Dear Mr. Schoenke:
Did you feel like a Real Man, a genuine hero, when you assaulted Ginny Simone in the hallway of the hotel where AHSA held its press conference? I watched the videotape, as well as listening to the comments of Dave Workman, who witnessed the event.
You looked to me like a man who was so frightened that he was about to lose control. It is a testament to Ms. Simone's self-confidence and courage that she did not appear to shrink away as you threateningly approached and grabbed her. You should be glad that I am not Ms. Simone's father, husband or "significant other," because if I were, I would have confronted you personally about this attack, and would have demanded that you be arrested and charged criminally.
On re-watching the video, I noticed that your cohort Robert Ricker was attempting to pull you away from Simone, apparently also fearing that you'd injure her.
I won't even go into the matter of how you lied on-camera, alleging that the NRA was trying to have your organization tossed out of the hotel, or the way AHSA's web site borrows language so freely from the Brady Campaign. You were frightened out of your wits that something about AHSA might have been revealed. And you acted like a spoiled high school jock.
Shame, shame shame.

Dear Mr. Balls. Judging from your puerile nom de plume and sloppy spelling,
it would be difficult for me to put much stock in your opinion.
