Below: an old trade card for a furniture store. Hard to tell how many stars are on the flag. There are 46 stars shown, but some may be hidden behind the ripples. However, the ad on the back offers gasoline stoves for $2.00, 2-burner gas stoves for $1.00, and "refrigerator chests" for $2.50. I'm inclined to think this dates to the period between 1900 and 1918. The bit of verse is the end of the last stanza of The Star-Spangled Banner, and seems especially poignant now in 2007.
